On Google Sitemaps Friday 2006-01-20

Here we are – a comprehensive tutorial on creating and using Google Sitemaps.

How to Make a Millon $$

Would you believe it?
A simple idea, a script, some nerve and access to a web server on the net and you’re done!
It’s the story of a guy who succeeded to sell browser real estate for one greenback a pixel.
The last 1000 pixels sold on eBay for $38 each according to his blog.
Enjoy the Million Dollar Homepage and read the blog!

Self Publishing Books

The long awaited web services for publishing books are here. One of the more advanced site for sel publishing is the Lulu publishing service, where you may publish and sell books, CD:s, DVS:s, calendars and images. Just sign in and send your material to Lulu.

For a book it is converted to PDF and you can settle with this and download the book – recommended for a preview. The book can be printed and bound with some standard cover or with your own cover art. You decide on a price for a downloadable book and/or the printed version. After that the book will be presented in the Lulu library where your audience can preview an excerpt of the book and buy one of the versions. Lulu will take a percentage of the price in commission.

This is the Amazon for self publishers – nifty!

The Regulus WP Theme

Here’s a WordPress Theme that takes a new approach to themes – Ben Gillbanks Regulus. Not only is it clean and nice in its layout. It comes with an extensive admin panel, where you can swith between different masthead images and color schemes. You can also hide or view widgets like the calendar and select what meta information is visible on your pages.

It gets my stars for this month at least. It aslo make me wonder how mych I have to learn before I make my own theme for release.

Oh my Web 2.01

Wearing the buzz off Web 2.0, the micro increments are emerging out of the fog of fuzzy definitions.

Site of the day/week?

Well one could introduce a “site of the day” concept, for likable things. Look at this par example!

On Google Sitemaps Wednesday 2006-01-18

Here we are – a comprehensive tutorial on creating and using Google Sitemaps.

Oh and I just discovered an automatic sitemap generator for WordPress by Andre Chaperon.
He even made a very instructive Camtasia video, showing how to install and set up the generator, and submit the site map to Google.

Impressive indeed!

CSS Floats
