Hi All,
Feel like heaven because now we can play with the 3d in flash, but also lack of support regarding openGL, but a very good start.
Mr.
K (can i call you this way ?) whats your future plan regarding
SANDY.what's the new possibilites you are looking in this.I think this
will give us an idea about future 3d in flash.
Hey M. Mont
Well
currently I'm porting with franto's help sandy in AS3. 2 weeks ago the
port of the actual version was almost finished, and since this time
Franto has added and completed parsers.
We are also working on new features, to create a much integration of 3D animations, especially with 3D studio max.
After
that, the development will slow down. Why? Because I'm actuelly looking
for a job, and I need to find one as soon as possible. Moreover, the
time I spend on this project is my free time, and the contributions I
received (thanks again to all the donators!!) are not enought to
continue that way.
So I'm planning to keep the actual Sandy
version Open source and free, and I'll implement some extra functions
as a personnal work. If I get some nice results I'll propose a
commercial extension of Sandy (not free), except if I receive enought
donations to make it public and free again as the current version (this
would be the best solution for everybody).
For sure, once Flash will access the hardware, a version will be updated taking advantages of the new possibilities.
I think this is a good resume of my current position about the future of Sandy.
