Sandy's Forum _ AS2 1.x versions _ Syntax and curves

Posted by: roanesky Nov 20 2006, 08:01 PM

Hi guys, great toolset. I have a question about syntax. How would I go about making some lines like a simple road map? I can get the straight lines with no problem. But what about curves? I see there's a CurvedLine3D but I can't figure out the syntax to use it. The 3 vectors make sense. I need 2 points and then a middle point defining the curve. But what is the first parameter and it's syntax?

And, if it works they way I understand? I assume I can draw a straight line, then on it's last vector draw a curve to make a curve in the road. Then on the curve's end vector, draw another line for a straight road after the curve.

Yes?

Thanks for any replies.

Hi and welcome,
You are presuming right.
But as far as I remember the 1.1 (quite old now smile.gif ) it doesn't have the CurvedLine3D in primitive folder, but only the line3D one.

I'm right?
In the case I'm right, you need to extend the objct3D an create your own primitive. quite easy to do, just get inspired of the existing wink.gif
