Hi
Kiroukou, has there been any talk of porting Sandy to AS3? I know it
would limit the great backwards compatibility you have now with older
Flash Players but it seems like you'd get quite a performance boost.
And sorry, I'm asking because I'm not familiar enough with the differences betwen AS2 and AS3 to know how much work would be involved. thanks- Paul |

hi i think sandy is still young. people need to know about it, to learn using it, and when they'll start using it comercially, let us hope that things will change. True. I think there are a lot of people now and there will be a lot more people who might be interested in putting some efforts to this project. Take some for example: André Michelle, Mattias Stridsman (Strille), David Crawford (Percy Pea), Eric Lin. Those people has the skills and experiences regarding flash 3D. And unfortunately most of us here are end-users and are not too confident of being involved with the development. Well at least thats the case for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) And I also think Sandy has the potential to be one of the most comfortable 3d engine for flash around. But in the end, I understand and appreciate any decision you make for this project whether it will go Open Source or not (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) We are here to support you.
