Hi all,
Sandy is almost ported into AS3 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I've to say that it was pretty fast since I started yesterday. Cool (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Everything is not ported yet, but I'm able to show you a first swf. I've to say that I'm a bit disapointed by the result. Yes it is fast, but not as much as I hoped (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) But I'm far from having a correct AS3 version, a lot of optimizations must come during my learning (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Here a simple comparison between versions performances. Be carefull it might slow down your computer, especially the AS2 version (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Please leave me your results : fps in AS3 and AS2 with your computer config ! hi Thomas,
Could you add Stage.scale="noscale" to these movies, the scale of the movie will have an impact on playback, especially on Mac. Then I think test results will be more accurate, although ms render time, as you say, would be even more. |
